How do I make a booking?
The only way to make a booking is to call our office on 01329 822334.
What is your availability?
Please call us on 01329 822334 where we can confirm our current availability. Whilst we make every effort to supply the vehicle booked, we reserve the right to refuse hire or to offer a substitute vehicle depending on availability.
What if I need to cancel?
We require 48 hours notice if cancellation is required.
Cancellations after this period will be charged at 100% of the total hire charge.
Can I return my vehicle whilst you are closed?
There is a facility for returning vehicles after office hours at our Fareham office. Please note that if you return your vehicle when the office is closed, you are still responsible for the vehicle until our office is next open and the vehicle can physically be checked back in.
I need to extend my hire period
We offer extensions to your hire period providing the requested extension is requested prior to the expiry of the agreed rental period and we have sufficient availability. The additional payment must be made prior to your original expiry date and time of your current hire period so that your insurance cover may be extended.
What happens if I return the hire vehicle late?
If you are late in returning your vehicle we will automatically re-insure you for an additional hour. The cost of this is £12.00 and will be charged to your provided credit / debit card. This covers your insurance only and you will be charged separately for your hire vehicle at the advertised daily rates.
What happens when I return the hire vehicle?
All vehicles must be returned to the branch from which they were hired unless agreed at the time of hire, where the vehicle will be inspected. Please note that there is NO facility for returning vehicles after office hours at our Winchester office.
What are the mileage allowances and charges?
As a rule you are allowed to travel 200 miles for each 24 hour hire period you have the hire vehicle. 100 miles are allowed in the case of a 4 hour hire. The mileage is checked upon the vehicles return and any additional mileage will be charged at a rate of £0.20 per mile to the Credit or Debit Card used to make your booking.
Can I travel outside of the UK?
We do allow vehicles to be taken out of mainland England, Wales or Scotland, to Mainland Europe provided this has been disclosed as the purpose of your hire. We will arrange for your international green card insurance, AA 5 star cover and a Bail Bond if appropriate. Additional charges will apply for these products and prices vary depending on vehicle type and your destination. Please contact us for a detailed price for this service. What does the price include?
Our advertised price includes VAT at the current rate and insurance. You can drive a vehicle away for the price shown online, there is nothing compulsory to add. Your price will be guaranteed when you make a confirmed booking.
What payment methods can I use?
The cost of the rental is generally charged at the time of collection. Payment can be made by Credit or Debit Card.
VAT is charged at current standard rate on all charges.
Is there a deposit?
We charge no deposit with the exception of Minibus bookings.
What happens if I Breakdown, have an Accident or another Incident?
In the unlikely event you breakdown or have any other problem whilst you have a vehicle on hire, please refer to the back of your rental agreement for information. If you have broken down please call The AA on 0800 420 420, you will need to quote your rental agreement number and your vehicle registration number. If you have had an accident please report this at the scene by calling our 24/7 emergency contact number 01329 822334.
What do I do about Fuel?
There is no charge for fuel - please return the Vehicle with the same fuel level as you find it.
